New York : September the 11th 2007
In partnership with the airborne museum and the Saint-Exupéry school at Sainte Mère Eglise,and schools in Louisiana. Jean Goujon and Patrick Bunel flew to New Orleans to present pupils in Louisiana with 3000 « Paths to Freedom» compilations in French and English. They went in partnership with the French consulate, this event was called « books for Christmas», a gesture of friendship for a state struck by the Katrina hurricane. Pupils at the Sainte Mère Eglise school wrote sympathetic words on the « Sainte Mère Eglise» poem cards, enclosing their E-MAIL thus linking hands with pupils across the Atlantic Ocean.

Our goal :
with the «Paths to Freedom» compilation and poem cards not only may one learn history, poetry and foreign languages, but one can also study and understand the second world war, taught in a different and humane way. Jean Goujon’s moving poems give a clear idea of what was at issue from 1939 to 1945. Maybe the pupils going to the show will be more attracted to works of history. The schools teaching "The Paths to Freedom" are sure they will.
